The NoLo Movement

The NoLo (no-and-low alcohol) movement is a global sociocultural shift in which consumers — particularly Millennials and Gen Z — are deliberately reducing or eliminating alcohol consumption without giving up social rituals around drinking. Driven by health awareness, sober curiosity, and premiumisation of alcohol-free alternatives, the NoLo segment grew by 31% globally between 2018 and 2022 and is projected to account for over 4% of the total beverage alcohol market by 2027.
