Shrub
A shrub (also called a drinking vinegar) is a concentrated syrup made from fruit, sugar, and vinegar, producing a sweet-tart, acidic mixing syrup for zero-proof cocktails and soft drinks. Shrubs were historically used as a preservation method before refrigeration and have been revived as a craft cocktail ingredient.
